E-Books

Electronic books are book publications made available in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, readable on the display of computers or other electronic devices. Although sometimes defined as “an electronic version of a printed book”, some e-books exist without a printed equivalent. The Claremont Business School Library subscribes to a number of eBook platforms and it also has access to Open Access books (freely available) as listed below.

1.          ProQuest Ebook Central

Ebook Central delivers, with breadth and depth of ebooks from scholarly sources, including University Presses and other top publishers.

2.        eBook Academic Collection (EBSCOhost) 

This growing subscription package contains a large selection of multidisciplinary eBook titles representing a broad range of academic subject matter, and is a strong complement for any academic collection. The breadth of information available through this package ensures that users will have access to information relevant to their research needs.

3.         Emerald Management 120 eJournal Collection

Emerald is a global publisher linking research and practice to the benefit of society. Emerald today manages a range of digital products, a portfolio of nearly 300 journals, more than 2,500 books and over 450 teaching cases.

4.         Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS)

INFORMS is the leading international association for Operations Research & Analytics professionals. Operations Research & Analytics are proven scientific mathematical processes that enable organizations to turn complex challenges into substantial opportunities by transforming data into information, and information into insights that save lives, save money and solve problems.

5.         JSTOR 

JSTOR (Journal Storage) is a digital library containing digitized back issues of academic journals, it now also includes books and primary sources, and current issues of journals. It provides full text searches of almost 2,000 journals.

6.         Project MUSE books 

Project MUSE is a leading provider of digital humanities and social science content for the scholarly community MUSE is the trusted source of complete, full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world’s leading university presses and scholarly societies, with over 120 publishers currently participating.

7.         Sage Journals 

SAGE Publications is an independent publishing and its publishing program includes more than 900 journals and 800 books a year, reference works and electronic products covering business, humanities, social sciences, science, technology and medicine.

8.         Springer eJournals 

Springer offers many opportunities for authors, customers and partners with more than 2,900 journals and 200,000 books, titles

9          Taylor & Francis eBestseller Packages

Provides access to over 50,000 eBooks from across the Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Behavioural Sciences, Built Environment and Law.       

10.       Wiley Online Library Full 

Wiley offers an exceptional portfolio of over 4 million articles from 1,500 journals. Titles cover the full spectrum of life, health and physical sciences, social science and the humanities.

11.       IET Digital Library 

The IET Digital Library holds more than 190,000 technical papers for all IET journals, magazines, books, conference publications and seminar digests.

OPEN ACCESS BOOKS

1.         Directory of Open Access Books

A discovery service for peer reviewed books published under an Open Access license. DOAB provides a searchable index to the information about these books, with links to the full texts of the publications at the publisher’s website or repository.
